Proiectura

Proiectura explores the complexity produced from a privileged projection point, resulting in tension between the two-dimensional index and three-dimensional allocation of materials. Using a perspective section, typical qualities of conventional drawing, like tones and hatches, are distorted when projected across the building. This projection also allocates materials, defining structural and material qualities across surfaces. Figures of the building visually collapse, blurring the boundaries between inside & outside. The perceptual image of the building is under constant negotiation with the user as one begins to circulate the site. Any passersby traversing the shopping district in Tokyo can interact with the building.
